These idiots are more foolish than the Sodos. Over many years they aligned with Qebena against Gurage, giving Cushitic minority Qebenas(1.81% of Gurage population) gifts of slaughter bulls for Eid el Fitr and Arefa. While they backstabed Gurage this way, they also sought the help of Gurage when another Cushitoc minority Mareqo (2.1% of Gurage pop) terrorized them.

Can you imagine these traitors of Gurage, namely, Mesqan and Sodo align themselves with two Cushitic terrorist groups and kill the Gurage Region quest? That is exactly what happened.

I could understand their (Meskan) guragigna better than the Kistane guragigna from the two videos you posted. The song is common gurage song. However, their dance a bit gets a twist from Silte?. Sodo Gurage dance is closer to sebat Bet.
I am really disappointed Gurage could not form a united front within Ethiopia or without and remain a laughingstock of and playing ground of Ethino-fascists form other regions. Gurage runs wherever they tell it to run to develop a city then gets ousted when they form another Kilil without giving Gurage a kilil of its own.
I am surprised the so-called Elders of Gurage even could not hammer out a unity front so far. They should have been able to form some sort of Gurage shengo that at least tries to ease out these divisions. May be the OPP thugs bullying went beyond the elders scope.

No Gurage linguist has studied ways to develop a common standard Gurage language. Professor Fekedu Minuta of Hawas University encouraged each group of Gurage to write its dialect. For that to happen, he manipulated Geez alphabets to suit each dialect's special sounds.
Elders are unorganized toothless wise men/women with no powers to say NO to whatever Addis Abeba brings to Gurage. If they protest, they will arrest them. They will warn them candidly.
Mesqan is majority Muslim. More or less also Qoqir and Gedebano if 100% Muslim. Welene is 100%. Abeshge and 7bet are, I think, majority Muslim or 50-50.
The risk different religions play in forging unity remains but when carefully and respectfully handled, it can't be an issue. There were burning of 8 mosques in Mwhair in 2010 and burning of a forestry business machines owned by a Muslim, but the Gurage Zone controlled it by taking appropriate legal actions.
