According to this declassified CIA document, #Djibouti (formerly known as French Somaliland) served as Ethiopia’s primary outlet to the sea.

The document also notes that Emperor Haile Selassie once declared Djibouti an integral part of Ethiopia. However, #Ethiopia ultimately lost control of Djibouti due to the influence of a militarily "powerful" Somalia.

Ethiopia gained direct access to the sea for the first time in its history when it forcibly annexed #Eritrea in 1952, but that privilege ended when Eritrea gained independence in 1991.

We Eritreans are always calm and now war and know the useless ethiopians can't win war against us Eritreans, history doesn't lie, even their useless propaganda war is trash. But you can't ask for the return of something which has never belonged to you, as Djibouti, or French Somaliland, was never part of the sh'ithole, called Ethiopia! It doesn't matter what that midget daydreamed about or murmured to the French.

To return as somaliman said how can Djibouti return to Ethiopia when it never was part of Ethiopia Abyssinia or any other sort of habesha entity through out history .Haile sellasie claimed that the banadir coast was his, because the Somalis were his people and were divided by the Italians. Does that make us Ethiopians ofcourse not . One can claim what ever he wants what matters is evidence historical factual documents to support ur claim .
