Our Ethiopian history is rife with Bandas masquerading as patriots to manipulate genuine Ethiopian patriotic sentiments to serve the agendas of external powers.
A significant portion of our Ethiopian population is uneducated who can be easily misled by fast-talking politicians to send their children to fight wars that have nothing to do with Ethiopia, but everything to do with keeping the country impoverished, under developed, backward, illiterate, heavily indebted, so it may continue to serve as a conduit for instability in a region where alliances are influenced by geopolitical rivalry between wealthy nations vying for strategic dominance and supremacy.
