Please reliable source. I think North Wollo, Raya is majority Muslim. Like all cities in Ethiopia, rural towns in North Wolo too have more Christian than Muslim.

Atse Yohannes did not succeed to occupy Raya Korem and Alamata at all - his occupation lasts 1 or 11/2 year. It is alleged he was killed Raya Muslims in Metema not by Sudanese, in a retaliation. Please do not use TPLF statistical agency. They changed 95% Amhara people of Alamata to 5% Amhara in the Dedebit count.

Keep in mind the Tigray Famine in 1974 and 1984 led to thousands of tigreans settling in Korem and Alamata

No, your inference is inaccurate. Basically, Wolo is predominantly Muslim. However, the oldest teaching both Islam and Christian theology are found in Wolo. For instance, Hiaq Estifanos is the first college of theology in Ethiopia.

The 99.9% percent reasons why Wolo become Muslim:

1) The relatives of Prophet Mohammed resettled and expanded in Wolo, not in other provinces. The Mohamedians ( Mamadoch) has been the segment of the population of Wolo - they spread teaching in Wolo, Tigray, Shewa. That is why Wolo is the center of Islamic scholars.

2) The Invasion of Ahmed Gragn takes the signficat share - he obliterated churches

The Oromo migration is not a factor at all: a) Only insigficant Oromo warriors encroached to Qalu and other few areas - they were insignficant 2) Oromo of that time did not have religion of Islam -
