Everything I have been saying on this forum has been said by the gentleman in the interview.

You can never solve a problem before trying to understand the nature of the problem, where many Ethiopian politicians failed. They try to impose their own version of the solution, far removed from the reality on the ground. They made with that their own grave more deeper.

It seems now the old guard is also finding a soft-landing and coming into terms with the reality on the ground.

This veteran politician wouldn't have dared such a comments in public just before few years. Back then the only voices on the media were those calling for tearing down the flag, dismantling ethnic federalism, throwing the constitution into the dustbin of history, Amhara the vanguard of Ethiopian unity, all the rest are just threats to the well-being of Ethiopia and many more in this line of argumentation.

All these could be legitimate questions as political demands, at least theoretically speaking: the trouble was the way the demanding parties wanted to achieve them. It has been either their way or the high-way, no middle ground, what so ever.

The people of Ethiopia reacted to such a demand of coercion "we are not on the ride with you". The politics of coercion has been outdated and there is only the politics of persuasion from now on.

Obbo Shimales Abdissa of Oromia Region told them in public: you are a ቆሞ ቀር! They didn't want to listen and adjust their way of politicking in our common land. Since then he moved on, they decided to stay there. Finally the reality is revealing itself now and catching them up.

From now on anybody can come and capture state power but there is no way that anybody will succeed in imposing one's will on the rest, Ethiopia is no more fertile for such kind of a scenario.

Like the saying goes "birds of the same feather flock together" the ቆሞ ቀር camp is flocking to its own breed on the other side of the Mereb river to gather behind Isayas Afeworki and those of progressive and forwarding looking flocks are garnering their voices behind Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia. The divide is clear, if you want a tangible proof for this look at just the ቆሞ ቀር Andergachew Tsigie, who flocked himself behind Isayas Afeworki, and on the other side the likes of Dr. Alemayehu Areda, who is standing behind Abiy Ahmed's policy in the country now, while both of them originally from the same EHAPA.

In the future Ethiopia the maxim is clear: you can demand anything you like, but you will never be able to impose your will on the rest!

That is what gangsters, and the mafia do. They demand payment from their victims threatening them that they would have no peace otherwise. The payment is called ransom or protection money! The ugly, twisted face of the idiot in the video suggests a criminal mind. Ethiopia is heading towards disintegration because of failed leaders like Abiy and his PP clowns. You will neither get Assab nor peace! What you are getting is total ANNIHILATION!

The only time Ethiopia used Assab was when Eritrea was federated and then annexed by Ethiopia. Trying to steal what is not yours is the ambition of a thief. You will never see Assab again because, for one thing, Ethiopia is finished.
