It is good handling animals in a responsible way. But I am more of humanistic person. A lot of needy people all over the world in pain and requiring a hand. Brutality in the world. Humans are brutal conscious beings. Some in filthy rich countries leave inheritance in millions of dollars to their loved animals while there are human sufferings and need everywhere. For that reason I hate too much focus on animals forgetting humans. Specially any venture about animal right in Ethiopia while people right is nowhere, animal right advocation is preposterous!( could not open the face book, if i drifted apologies)!

It is not about forgetting human suffering but the suffering of those street dogs in AA for no fault of their own.It is good handling animals in a responsible way. But I am more of humanistic person. I still am not amused. I don’t personally like mistreating animals. But this animal “worship” is something of new age affluent society culture or cult specially on turning away from God and turning to selfishness or worshiping other things. This even led to culturally unacceptable interaction with animals such as kissing them and sleeping with them and even marrying. Most of us grew up with animals as kids and liked them as a family member and hated selling them or slaughtering. Men have the responsibility to care for environment and handle animals with dignity. But I still provide priority for humans. In Addis there used to be more stray kids than dogs in the street due to broken society due to brutal systems that ruled the people. I am sure they hide those kids now or forcefully remove ጎዳና ተዳዳሪዎች:: Abiy looked like stray kids when young but now he abuses the country’s resource and is a friend to the affluent except some camera moment for fame with the poor. His party is called PROSPERITY!
I prefer to hear about those who takes care of needy people before animals and that is biblically supported if you are a christian. Muslims infact hate dogs, call them ንጃስ-unclean while they prefer cats. Talking about dog right in Ethiopia where people at times are treated less than dogs is absurd. It is not a priority. And people build many NGOs to get money from the rich and take the affluent society ideology to the poor where feeding people is even difficult. That is again absurd.

What does adoption mean? By residents or govt? For me it is ok to care for dogs at the same time they can protect residents from thieves. It is amazing, hyenas are storming around Addis, no more dogs, the paradox. Wondering govt threatening the homeless by the hyenas so homeless leave Addis. I used to see kids under highway bridge roads because they don’t have home while Tplf was ruling which is following Western homeless policy, if residents are found giving money, they maybe targeted, they believe if homeless given money, they won’t find work. First of all what created for them to be in the streets, the cause? Most is not fault of their own, they are either targeted by cia gangs, they are ill, no family and community which individuality and money created people to be isolated, cost of living. The good thing in the West is they have choice to be supported , shelter homes, etc, still the system towards above individuals maybe cruel. Let me add, it is looked down upon also to associate yourself with homeless outdoor by helping them, everybody turns away. Ethiopia has been following this system which is designed to get rid of average people from Oligarchs. It is now clear that Oligarchs are being formed in Ethiopia which will eat away the population slowly because there is world Oligarchs are forming supporting other Oligarchs throughout the world including Ethiopia. This means against middle class and average people. It is shame Ethiopia is following this method targeting the homeless that can’t be even compared the help the West gives to its homeless. Ethiopia does not even have the resources for this and want people with no help to die . I used to see people who were left outside in Addis either get eaten by hyenas, die, they get covered by plastic bag so no one sees them till they get picked up. this was never the case before Tplf! That is why great indigenous ngo such as Mekedonia is a blessing , it was being controlled by Tplf because it was bringing money to help the needy. Do not allow foreigners, oligarchs, or ethnic fanatics or govt to control it, its purpose will stop. I like that recently money was being raised for Mekedonia. There should be more Mekedonia types.
