Dark Energy,
You are the creation a destitute Italian colonialism and your current master Egypt is nothing but centuries of colonial history. Therefore, you can't really grasp the psyche and ethos of Ethiopia.

Here is the bitter fact you will have no choice but swallow - ETHIOPIA IS THE WATER CAPITAL OF AFRICA! AND, ETHIOPIA IS AT THE CUSP OF BECOMING THE ELECTRICITY CAPITAL OF AFRICA. What that means is Ethiopia does not need petroleum to run her cars. Ethiopia is fast moving into ELECTRIC POWERED CARS.

ELECTRICITY IS WHAT ETHIOPIA HAS IN ABUNDANT SUPPLY. SO, WE ARE DESTINED TO BECOME A GLORIOUS GREEN CIVILIZATION OF AFRICA. WE HAVE THE WATER FOR OUR PLANTS! WE HAVE THE ELECTRICITY FOR OUR CARS AND INDUSTRIES.

When it comes to artificial intelligence and information technology, as long as it is run on electronic chips, we have unlimited supply of electricity to model and build our own AI and make million by have mega data centers relocating into Ethiopia.

Right now research is advancing on photonic chips in order to run computers not on electricity but LIGHT. When we get to that day Ethiopia will also be the THE LIGHT CAPITAL OF AFRICA. ETHIOPIA IS 13 MONTHS OF SUNSHINE! REMEMBER !

SO, YOU CAN SLICE AND CUT THIS MATTER WHICH EVER WAY YOU WANT, ETHIOPIA IS FACTUALLY AND MATERIALLY TO BECOME A GLORIOUS CIVILIZATION!!!

I really think that renaissance is about a treasure trove of history to marvel and an enigma of spirituality to fulfill that it would be wise to rethink using it in a name for a grand hydroelectric power project.

In my view, the first renaissance unraveled a treasure trove of history going all the way back to the time of Goddess Athena and became the source of Eurocentric history of humanity over the last many centuries.

The second renaissance goes even farther back to the time of Pharaoh Akhenaten before The Exodus to solidify the history of humanity by filling in the part that the first renaissance missed for far too long.

A while back, responding to my use of the phrase Ethiopian Renaissance, Somaliman argued to make a point that there is no such a thing as Ethiopian Renaissance. On this point, I agreed with him at a moment’s notice; I do that when a point is made.

On that point, should the idea of renaissance be used in the name for a hydroelectric power project, Grand Renaissance Dam (GRD) may be more appropriate.

As a somalilander I support the GERD. Because eventually it's good for all of us. None of us (horn Africans ) benefits Egypt to destroy our asset. Let's fight if we want but never ever compromise your long term future.
