Why does Eritrea export its citizens to America and Europe to generate remittance which is the only means of its existence and yet so viciously oppose America and Europe? Can we say that this is the same basic national character of Eritreans to bite the finger that feeds them? Self-reliance is a concept you do not comprehend. It is what enabled Eritreans to defeat Ethiopia. Most of our weapons were taken from the Derg or Weyane. Self-reliance is the confidence to kick out USAID and say we will take care of ourselfve by building a thousand dams to make Eritrea food indpendent. Self-reliance is the reason, the only reason, that the imperialists have been trying to destroy Eritrea. They love their Meles and Abiy slaves and are concerned that Eritrea's self-reliance may infect Africans the way it is doing West Africans like Burkina Fasso. Millions of Ethiopians are in the Diaspora sending billions of Dollars back home. BUt that has not made Ethiopia self-reiant, has it. It is the most dependent nation in the world!

Its actually a good thing to be self reliant if the Eritrean government imposes tax on its citizens diaspora it’s still their people and that money is generated from its people despite being else where . But one thing I am proud of Eritrea is they are not the slaves of the world bank and imf western institutions . There is a Somali saying which goes as this . Just because I am in need or in hunger . As they say, "self-deception is the worst of all deceptions" And you horseshit are the dumbest self deciever. The Derg was defeated in 12 years by the resolute EPLF forces who marched into Arat kilo to install the Agames as future leaders. We exhausted Mengistu's huge forces. At the end, even university students joined Mengistu's call. We fought for 30 years to do it. And that is what self-reliance means because the world had forgotten us. Read the book "To Asmara" to understand what Eritrean self-reliance means. Here is a free copy you may download. The last 27 years, the Agames did their best to defeat Eritrea with the help of their Western masters. It didn 't work. You see, dumbito, when you rely on no-one but yourself, you become indomitable!
