President Trump is trying to protect American economy. He wants Americans to buy American goods and services. It is very patriotic idea. However, American basis for economy have changed over the last five decades. America leads the international financial markets. The standard of living in America is the highest in the World. But, with the emergence of tiger markets, that may not hold for ever. From that point of view, I understand what President Trump is doing. But, is imposing tariff on the entire World effective ? In my opinion, America needs to invest in techlonogical innovation. The stock market crisis will linger. Millions of Americans are losing their life savings that are invested in stocks and other financial instruments. Back in the days, in my economic classes, tariff was a bad word. Tariff in double digits ?

Tariffs in the short term will allow the government to raise cash. If the aim is to aid industries, investors must be assured that they will remain in place for decades (and they have to remain in palace for decades) to make any impact in growing manufacturing capabilities. If the next US administration is going to reverse them, then the only outcome of the tariffs will be high inflation in the US.

Youre the epitome of Eritrea's wasted human resource. Only if deranged Isu would listen, the likes of you would turn Eritrea's dream of being the Singapoor of Northeast Africa.Dark Energy wrote: ↑05 Apr 2025, 10:25President Trump is trying to protect American economy. They know what they are doing , they are just giving population talking points. It ( this policy or any policy) is not for populations but for elites, oligarchs to benefit,?so the policy changes every time based on what makes the oligarchs benefit. The populations are just slaves.?
