Post by Zmeselo » 27 Mar 2025, 12:18

Translation:

To our brothers and neighbors in Eritrea,

We express our sincere thanks and gratitude for your noble stances toward Sudan and its people during this difficult ordeal. You have opened your doors and hearts to your Sudanese brothers and sisters, and you have always been, as we have always known you, people of generosity, chivalry, and magnanimity. Your warm welcome and sincere support will remain a testament to the deep fraternal ties and shared history that unite our two peoples.

Your genuine humanitarian stances and genuine support will never be forgotten. This brotherhood, which has spanned time and space, confirms that adversity only brings us closer together and more united.

Thank you to Eritrea, its leadership and people,
Thank you for your support and embrace of your Sudanese brothers.
Your generous hands and honorable stances will remain engraved in our hearts.

We look forward to a more secure and stable future that unites our two countries 🌹 .

The so-called Eritrean diplomats, or even the word "diplomacy" in relation to Eritrea, are nothing but a mockery and a joke. A street thug, even if dressed in a suit, cannot be regarded as a diplomat. The so-called Eritrean diplomats in the diaspora are, at best, tax collectors and agents of division, whose mission is to sow mistrust among Eritreans based on regional and sub-regional lines. At worst, they act as spies—not to gain technical knowledge from the countries they operate in, but to report on whether Abeba or Andeberhan were speaking against the Eritrean dictator.

The late Meles Zenawi was correct in one regard when he stated that Eritrea’s leadership is stuck in a jungle mentality. As the saying goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. No matter how much they dress in Armani or Dolce & Gabbana suits, there is no substance whatsoever in what they consider diplomacy.

As we speak, many Eritreans are stranded in Libya, desperately in need of consular assistance. Despite their attempts to contact the Eritrean consulate in Tripoli, the regime tries to exploit them by demanding $1,000. Their response was, "If I could afford $1,000, why wouldn’t I use it to journey to Europe rather than return to Eritrea.
