Tplf and now pp destroyed our Borana. They replaced them with Kenyan Guji. The Borana have the ability to foresee 50 years from now and used to warn Ethiopia what will happen 20, 30 years from now what will happen and warn Ethiopia. Borana had strong connections with Ethiopia’s kings and both protected Ethiopia this way. Kings rotected them too. Their lives have not improved since Tplf.

Borana is not about show off, how this documentary came out proof Tplf and pp exposing them. The intention of this docu l bet like they did Nile, to take over salt resources. I for one at hard work you did to bring goods and services, should belong to the community including the benefit first right there with help of government. But it never happens, they in return enslave them.

Gala the term means l think as Naga Tuma said, camel, it is the language that became Gala speaking the people were defined by their region. To put all Oromo speaking together, they destroyed their identity of their region. The same thing is happening now in Amara. What is the down side? This was designed by colonists and their slaves LFs in order to break Ethiopia based on language speaking, that is why, these big regions will face off to destroy each other in war.

One thing l liked about under kings rule is the live and let live. The Hammers, Borana, etc still live their tradition ways are not sporting like Protestant convert wearing suit by Gambela, south sudan Welega,etc. is it true their lives have improved by their own hard work or foreign hand out?
They are not to blame, when you have weak and controlled leaderships,?you make the people subservient to colonists.

If there is truly good leadership, l would make the lives of these Boranas easier, by bringing them technology or safest way of diving to get salt, they should be the owners reck the benefit and improve their lives, but they pay taxes,?etc. that is how it should be. Bad leadership like South Africa colonialists will take over the resources and make the workers slave. That is what is happening throughout esp gold mining.

I don't think they get anything from the so-called government until someone reaches to city level where the cadre and their security apparatus are roaming. As you said, these people just needed local technology to make their day-to-day activity easier. I don't think they benefit anything from the Oromuma garbage. They don't know walage, shoa, jimma Oromo bla blaaaaaaaaaaaaa. All they know is Borana.
It is governance, administration a good-hearted citizen serving its people. Making people live in harmony. Help out everybody. We are not yet there. That is why the whole continent is called uncivilized. There is a saying that if a single cow muddies the water, all cows drink mud water. The woke is ruining the country.

Interesting observation. The documentary is striking and the old Borena man is a very wise man. By the way PP hates the Borena people and during the Derg ethnicities studies Borena is pointed out as a distinct ethnic group separate from Oromo.

Politics aside, the advise the old man gave to his 11 years old kid should be the highlight here. He told him "The sun rises in the morning so should you and work for your life and the sun sets in the end to rest and so should you". This, i found it to be a good teaching of self reliance and healthy grooming of your kid. Unlike the Tulema and Arusi kidnappers who depend on looting, robing, raping and theft. What a contrast if Oromo(galla) hates the good Borana citizens. It seems there is also value differences.

You are right.
Fabrication leading to misery. Non-existent Oromo (only clans), non-existent or defined land called Oromia. This fabricated construct (TPLF contributed much to this) needs to be de-constructed for the good of everybody, but I am not sure if we have committed/interested social scientists that are capable of doing that. The Borana basically look like they are very Ethiopian and live in relative harmony with their neighboring nonrelated tribes. A wise man and his son. Even they look calmer and laid back than the ordinary so called political and aggressive Oromos we see day to day in the center of the country.
The Mecha-Tulama idiots/garbages are the ones who try to shove the so called Irecha and Gada into the throats of more relaxed/liberal clans like Borana and perhaps Guji.

Right, irrecha is non-existent in Borena. current Galla(Oromo) is an amalgametation of different tribes who were forcefully changed through gebar and mogassa. In terms of facial differences, Borena are close to somali and to some extent habesha. Current Galla and Tulema is a different breed. The Derg knew it and the publication is out

Commonality of words in different places doesn’t mean a suggestion of origin in one place. In addition, this is not philosophy. It is a simple study of the history of words in different languages.

Not too long ago, you argued against my suggestion that the Borana are part of the Ethiopian family since ancient times. You confidently criticized me that they were newcomers some five hundred years ago.

I have made my point here.

I think they know the word ኦርመ and that they don’t identify themselves as ኦርመ። I am positive that they know the Arsi well enough. I am not sure if some animosity exists between them or if they have some rivalry with the Hadiya.

The change from ኦርመ to ኦሮሞ is the labor of love of Lencho Leta because Abba Bahrey pejoratively called the Borana Gላ.

These days, our Ethiopian ጎሳዎች families who do ረገዳ also call themselves ኦርመ። May be some of your close kin have forgotten saying ረገጣ and doing ረገደ።

Still there are tainted concepts I don’t believe in your post. That are not genuine. From the video I felt but not necessarly true, the Orignal Borana (not Oromo) were more reasoning and benign looking than those that migrated to center that became shear animals. Most were probably other ethnics included thru mogasa and gudifecha.
Because borana is living this life style does not necessarly make them orignal people. They don’t exist in the earliest maps the explorers produced on which even the hadiya, gurage exist long before galla is seen in the map. The galla are a 15th-16th century making. Abyssinians and other tribes were there for long long time before galla appeared. I don’t think Bahrey used “galla” for the purpose of stigmatizing. That word was there even before the galla expanded north and northwest. Somalis used that name. In kenya there are even goats called galla. Even in central ethiopia we have the names ጋና/ጋላ:: That word was never derogatory originally but compared to the life style of more urban and settled central and northern people who had their own ancient civilization the way of the galla was different and on mixing with the rest of Ethiopia the Oromos found it stigmatizing. Many other ethnic names that sounded derogatory during feudal time are still there and those ethnics using them never ashamed of that and they still use them proudly because they don’t suffer from inferiority complex. It is the gallas in transforming into a political animal they wanted to change the name of the land, themselves and many other things. A hamer, surna, gambella, benishangul, Tigre, gurage, kembata….are not ashamed of their name but only galla wanted to metamorphose into Oromo like caterpillar to a [deleted] causing suffering to many in the process!

There was a long time plan to break Ethiopia by foreigners we know the reason, so they had to begin dividing, those who have issues with previous rulers, such types are very attractive to the foreigners, they programmed and brainwashed them. Oromo the term probably given to the political Olf long time so they have excuse to say Ethiopia elite called them “Gala”, as the start of disagreement to create rift within Ethiopia. The selected senior Olf elites that are bought and paid for whom l bet most maybe mogassa who hailed from Eritrea like Gebrebab who became more Oromo than the Oromo themselves in order for the dream of breaking Ethiopia. Oromo began more and more changing its identity and flags alien even to Oromo themselves but the political Oromo gained power and now forcing this alien identity on the throats of the people, you name it: religion, Latin, flag so the goal is to break Oromo region. As long as Aby pp does not stop ethnic rule, replace LFs constitution with true Ethiopian constitution that protects all the people without discrimination but not with false identity, Aby and pp are continuing the LFs and colonists path against Ethiopia.

There was no one Ethnic to get independence other than shabiy controlled Eritrea!
Shabiy and TPLF wanted a field for themselves to play and loot. Once Derge crumbled, what shabiya wanted was Eritrea hoping to be singapooooor exploiting Ethiopia. Of course TPLF did not care about independence once it looked at the big pie to feast on-exploiting Ethiopia. The rest ethnics were irrelevant meaning did not have a say. Now TPLF crumbled. Shabiya failed to convert Eri to singapooore for simple reason-ideology
