Monthly Payments and Perks for Ethiopian Leader's Social Media Propagandists
የብልጽግና ካድሬዎች ወርሃዊ ደሞዝ ተገለጠ።
(EP) - Abiy Ahmed’s social media activists are said to receive monthly payments
Who knew spreading hashtags and shouting slogans could be so lucrative? It seems propaganda pays - literally.
Apparently, the paranoid Pee Pee employing a battalion of 30,000 activists who tirelessly chant "Assab! Assab! Shaebia! Shaebia! Eritrea! Eritrea! ሼባው!
Approved and funded by none other than Abiy Ahmed himself, these activists have now made the Eritrean Press Facebook page their cosy, rent-free headquarters to take on the Eritreans. And as if that weren’t enough, their families reportedly offered the luxury of relocating to any country they fancy, all while continuing their "dedicated" propaganda crusade abroad.
Quite the international enterprise, wouldn’t you say?
Here are the alleged monthly payment of some of Abiy's social media activists.
Ermias Legesse USD $6,000 per month
Ayana Feyissa USD $4,000 per month
Belay Manaye USD $3,000 per month
Bekal Alamitew USD $3,000 per month
Tewodros Asfaw USD $3,000 per month
Deru ze hareru USD $2,000 per month
Desye Ashenafi 80,000 Birr per month and rent-free accommodation
While we do not have a concrete evidence, whispers suggest that the ENDF's "top military analysts" and YouTuber, the 56 years old Seyoum "ቃሚው" Teshome is pocketing 220,000 Birr every month, courtesy of Abiy Ahmed. Oh, and as a bonus perk to him? A "get-out-of-jail-free" card - literally. No arrests, no untimely accidents (as it happened to Teshome previously).
Talk about a benefits package that screams job security!
