It was our ability to see the Ethiopian prisoners of war as victims of global geopolitics that prompted us to treat them humanely with respect for their dignity as human beings and neighbors. We were not even signatory to the Geneva convention when we were providing education, food, clothing and medical care to the soldiers that came to exterminate the Eritrean people. We would still treat Horus the same way we treated Berhanu Jula, Bacha Debele...etc... and nothing will change that!
