The Ethiopian Defense Force (ENDF) has issued a warning, accusing top TPLF army general of orchestrating the two-day coordinated assault by Fano rebels against federal troops in the Amhara region.Codenamed "Operation Unity" (ዘመቻ አንድነት), the mission were aimed to unite the three factions of Fano fighters in a coordinated assault against Abiy Ahmed's forces, by launching attacks from Southern and Western Gondar direction, as well as from three directions in Gojam.
The official Facebook post claimed that the operation, coordinated by Brig. Gen. Migbey Haile, was unsuccessful and in fact resulted in significant Fano rebel casualties.
