As is obvious to anyone with a couple of grams of brain cells, Ethiopians are their own worst enemies. They have been mauling each other for centuries! As a consequence of centuries of horrendous miseries, they have evolved a bizarre self-defence mechanism. They prefer to hallucinate about a non-existent glorious past. Thus, they keep themselves in a permanent state of denial to avoid having to deal with the pain of their miserable present.

Ethiopia today is a crumbling failed state wracked by civil wars and grinding poverty. Hopelessness has driven millions of its citizens to extreme religious Pentecostalism. Another manifestation of this hallucination is the current frothing about the Red Sea. For thousands of years, their ancestors lived without access to, leave alone ownership of, any seacoast. Yet, these dumbitos have now convinced themselves that their very existence depends on the sea. That, of course, helps them to avoid having to think about the impending doom. የቆጡን ኣወርድ ብላ የብብትዋን ጣለች::
