Re: Abiy spoke about war with Eritrea on Assab port
Omg, it’s amazing how illiterate this guy is when it comes to politics. He has no capacity to differentiate between threats and peaceful constructive dialogue. He is clearly threatening Ethiopian neighbors but thinks he is calling for peaceful cooperation. He has also no awareness about what is legal and what is not. Such incompetent and lawless idiot! He is a definition of how NOT to do politics.

Re: Abiy spoke about war with Eritrea on Assab port
carving a land to prevent a nation of 130million people that is only a walking distance away from the sea is a crime perpetrated by the European invaders and those who think they are the beneficiary of the injustice!!! this has nothing to do with Abiy.
Re: Abiy spoke about war with Eritrea on Assab port
Liar pants on fire.
The coward Ethiopia chicken and coward prime minister Abiy didn’t talk about WAR with Eritrea
like all his idiots You tubers are doing.
In this video he clearly is scared and sh’itting in his pants and clearly said that he has no balls to GO TO WAR against the mighty Sharbia, as if we the Eritreans give a damn.
So you a’ss wipe, why is the title of your post says otherwise?
If you ask me I rather him dare Eritrea
so that we can send him and Ethiopia to hell like we did to all previous Ethiopia regimes.

I don’t see anything wrong with his speech. In fact, what he said reflects what the great majority of Ethiopians are believing. To characterize his speech as something that is spoken by someone who should not be in politics to begin with is bizarre. He did not entertain war as a means to resolve the issue. He said dialogue is the only way to solve the problem. What is wrong with that assumption ?
It is wise to reserve criticism for a government or a leader when it deserves it otherwise when it deserves it might fall in the category of the same bi…. for no apparent reason.

He is requesting a piece of land by the Red Sea. I hope Djibouti will meet his needs, especially since Djibouti is currently benefiting financially from Ethiopia, similar to how it has accommodated other powerful nations in the past. Eritrea, on the other hand, will not give up even a small piece of land to Ethiopia. That's final!
Re: Abiy spoke about war with Eritrea on Assab port
Wubeberha,
It is a no brainer, there is no legal, moral, rational ground to stop Ethiopia access to the Red Sea. Ethiopia ,which accounted a population at least 15 countries combined, cannot be locked and denied the right to development. If there is such a norm, it is that norm that has to be done away, not the demand of Ethiopian population.
Any organization be that UN, or country standing in the way of Ethiopia reclaiming its Red Sea should be ignored. There is more for Ethiopia to subscribe the will of them than taking over Assab by any means possible. What is Ethiopia going to lose?
I watched the propaganda YoTube of the deceased Meles Zenawi when he said if Ethiopia pursue war, Ethiopia will be a pariah state. I could not stop laughing ሰነፍ ገበሬ ልጁ አባዬ እራበኝ ብሎ ቢያለቅስበት እረ ጅቡ መጣ ብሎ አስፈራራው አይነት. Has not Eritrea province for the last 35 year pariah?
As much as I hate the death of innocent people and the devastation war causes, I see ZERO chance for peace. War is inevitable. Now or in the future, war is the only one making the decision.

Re: Abiy spoke about war with Eritrea on Assab port
Well, the bottom-line is he sent two conflicting messages:
1) His OLF regime will not be at war against Shabia (mother and sponsor of OLF)
2) Ethiopia will never ever give up on the strip of land deliberately stolen. That statement confirms, even if he does not go war out of being Shabia's friend, he emphatically stated Assab, in fact, is a poison pill for Shabia. The cost of guarding it has been astronomical for Shabia.
By the way, why was Shabia so nervous and meddle in Somalia and Somaliland issue earlier?
Trying to fence, but Ethiopia has to bulldoze it at some point. When? When the time becomes perfect. Abiy Ahmed lost when he opened war against Amhara to please his Woyane and Western Master.

Re: Abiy spoke about war with Eritrea on Assab port
@PositiveEritreaAll your actions say otherwise.
1. Your digital propaganda army continually attacking Eritrea.
2. Writing regime change articles, using your current & former diplomats on mass international media.
3. Signing MOUs, violating sovereignty & territorial integrity of neighbors
4. Hosting and endorsing violent terrorists and parallel governments, in the capital of your country.
5. Providing diplomatic cover passport and resources for entities and parallel gov'ts, to issue illegal identification papers against international laws.
6. Hosting, espousing, funding and cultivating violent ethno-fascist ideologues and groups against neighbors.
7. Arming and transporting terrorists using state airlines.
8. Engaging in lectures and speeches as a leader of a nation in parliament sessions and people about "ownership" rights of sovereign nation territory.
9. Deployment of strategies with anti Eritrea regional spoilers to engage into war with Eritrea.
10. Using diplomatic channels (your top officials) to spew rhetoric framing Ethiopia as victim and Eritrea as victimizer to the international diplomatic community.
11. Outsourcing your national & foreign policies to Israel and UAE, murderous partners.
መን ምዃንካ ክፈልጠካ፡ ምስመን ከም ትኸይድ ንገረኒ።
12. Lastly, this post alone basically threatening Eritrea to prepare for war if Eritrea wants peace framed as "dialogue" is quiet telling.
In short, you have demonstrated, in the past 2 years not only your utter disregard for peace in the region; but you cracked under pressure; lack the integrity to honor your words and agreements.
So, personally, I take this as "PR campaign" to manage reputational loss of the diplomatic defeat suffered by your administration.

Re: Abiy spoke about war with Eritrea on Assab port
Abiy's empty threats of war is nothing but a worn-out tactic aimed at pressuring Eritrea to come to the negotiation table.
To negotiate what?... is the $1.6 billion dollar question.
Following the 2018 peace agreement between Eritrea and Ethiopia, a key focus was the construction of new roads connecting the Ethiopian border with Eritrean ports, aiming to boost trade, economic growth, and regional economic integration. Ethiopia was to spend less money on port fees by using Eritrean ports. But something went terribly wrong.
Eritrea has already completed the road connecting its ports to the Ethiopian border. Ethiopia, on the other hand, has not even started the project due to pressure from Western governments that did not approve the peace deal in the first place. Don't take my word for it. Our Ethiopian ambassador Dina Mufti had said it point-blank: "They don't allow us to have our own foreign policy."
Out of desperation, Abiy toyed with the idea of using the Berbera port, but that created more problems for Ethiopia as it violates Somalia's sovereignty. Now Abiy is back to square one, begging Eritrea for a negotiation, which the Eritreans don't seem to be interested. Ethiopia making hollow threats of war has further infuriated the Eritreans that they no longer want anything to do with Ethiopia.
That's where we are at today. Abiy begging and throwing temper tantrums like a child, and Eritreans ignoring him.

The weight of the injustice, unfairness, broad daylight conspiracy to intentionally cut out a long strip coastal territory out of proper Ethiopia and patched it on Eritrea too much to carry on. An intentional crime committed against the long-term interest of Ethiopia cannot be ignored. Ethiopia does not deserve to nurse the pain inflicted upon her by her historic enemies, there is no point playing political correctness game. It is time to tell the world straight-up, Assab is an Ethiopian territory and the people of Assab are Ethiopians sold down to Shabia by Meles Zenawi and Woyanes of Tigre.
Let alone the 3rd world countries where thugs crowned by their own Kalashnikovs, even in the developed region such kind of deep historical cases are decided by the battlefield. A case in point, Crimea. As everyone knows Ukraine wanted to become a European country while having significant proportion of ethnic Russia; and the result we saw it now. Recently we hear even Trump wanted to take over Canada and Greenland, either this be fact or allegation. What does this tell Ethiopians? Well, the world is under constant change and shaping is under territorial morphosis. It will be naive to freely allow Shabia steal the Assab.
