• Isak is one of Europe's hottest properties after a superb season for Newcastle

• The 25-year-old scored second goal in Carabao Cup triumph at Wembley

• LISTEN NOW: It's All Kicking Off! https://dailymail.lnk.to/its-all-kicking-offDM Why Eddie Howe is the 'greatest coach of his generation'

Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan has told the club’s hierarchy to resist any offers for his favourite player Alexander Isak this summer.

The governor of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment fund, the club’s majority owners, was at Wembley on Sunday to see the Magpies lift their first domestic trophy in 70 years. He watched the 2-1 win over Liverpool https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/liverpool/index.html in the Carabao Cup final https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/efl-cup/index.html from the Royal Box, before joining the team at Wembley’s Boxpark for a celebratory party.

And we understand the Saudi chief is adamant that Isak, scorer of the second goal against the Reds, will not be going anywhere. Sources have told us that Al-Rumayyan is sweeter on the Swedish striker than any other player.

We can reveal that Barcelona https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fc-ba ... index.html watched the 25-year-old during last week’s 1-0 win at West Ham, https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/west- ... index.html and it is said the Spanish giants want a marquee signing ahead of their first full season at the redeveloped Nou Camp. Barca president Joan Laporta is a huge admirer of Isak, who played in LaLiga https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/la-liga/index.html for Real Sociedad.

Newcastle have not discussed an asking price for their star, because the message from above is clear - Al-Rumayyan and PIF do not want to sell. He has three years to run on his contract and talks over an improved deal will be explored come the end of the season. However, a return to the Champions League https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/champ ... index.html could yet prove key in giving the player the salary he deserves and matching his ambition.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are planning a celebration to mark their Carabao Cup victory on Saturday, March 29 on Tyneside. The event will give fans the opportunity to see the trophy showcased by Eddie Howe https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/eddie-howe/index.html and his players.

An Italian burglar has been found guilty of a high value raid on the home of Newcastle https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/newcastle-united-fc United Cup hero Alexander Isak.

Valentino Nikolov, 32, was part of a professional gang of 'touring burglars' which stole more than £1m worth of goods. They got inside three homes in the north-east of England, Newcastle Crown Court heard. Nikolov's sister, brother and nephew had previously admitted burglary. A fifth man, 58-year-old Safet Ramic from Birmingham, was found not guilty of handling stolen goods.

Nikolov had represented himself during the trial with the aid of an Italian interpreter. Jurors took less than two hours of deliberation to find him guilty.

The Newcastle United striker's home in Darras Hall, Ponteland, Newcastle was hit in a series of high value heists by a team of professional burglars, the court heard.

Tyneside-based businesswoman Helen McArdle and her husband lost property worth more than £1m during a raid while they were on holiday. The three members of the same family, who had been living in Italy, admitted conspiracy to commit burglary, the court heard.

But the fourth member Nikolov denied the charge and stood trial. A statement was read to jurors from Mr Isak, who said he was burgled on April 4 last year between 4pm and 10pm. He said he left the house locked and secure but when he got back:
I noticed my bins at the front of the property and this is not where I left them, which was by the gate.
He said he found a glass door had been smashed and personal property was strewn around. He added:
Upstairs in a bedroom I keep cash in bags and this had been stolen.

This was £5,000 to £10,000 in cash in notes and coins.
Mr Isak said a metal safe had been stolen from one of the bedrooms but he said that had been left by a previous tenant and he didn’t know what, if anything, it contained as he was unable to gain access to it.

He added that his Audi RS6 estate and its keys were stolen. In a second statement, Mr Isak said he had identified that jewellery had been stolen from the main bedroom. He said:
This was bespoke jewellery with an approximate value of £68,000.
He said the men's jewellery included necklaces, bracelets and rings. Sweden and Newcastle United https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/Newcastle%20United striker Mr Isak said on April 21 last year he was shown pictures of a safe recovered by police which he said was visually consistent with the safe that had been in his house.

It had been damaged to force it open by the time the pictures were taken. Mr Isak said:
The safe stolen from my home did not have such damage and this must have been caused after the burglary.
The gang is to be sentenced at a date yet to be set, the court heard.
