Ethiopia and Russia discussed on issues they can work together with the Navy.

A delegation led by Russian Navy Vice Commander Admiral Vladimir Aurobiv visited the training center in Bishoftu that the Ethiopian Navy is building.
During the visit, an agreement was signed to strengthen the navy and facilitate further cooperation. They discussed about future cooperation with the Ethiopian navy.
The deputy commander of the Ethiopian Navy to Operational Commodore Jemal Tufisa, said that the cooperation is focused on training and capacity building. According to the National Defense Army social media information, we have advised to continue working together to strengthen the building of the navy that our institution has started and to strengthen our readiness to respect the interests of our country on international waters.
