Abiy Ahmed’s Agricultural Revolution is Too Good to Be True, Says the Economist

(EP) - Once synonymous with famine, Ethiopia claims to have transformed from a wheat importer to a self-sufficient exporter, boasting a significant surplus by 2023.

Last year, Ethiopia reportedly grew as much wheat as Ukraine, a major grain exporter, according to Abiy’s figures.

Now, The Economist sheds light on Abiy’s manipulation, revealing a reality that many Ethiopians remain unaware of.
