Half of the country is a no go!

Post by Zmeselo » 13 Mar 2025, 20:13

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against all travel to parts of Ethiopia due to security concerns. Meanwhile, ወዲ በሻሻ and his PP gang barely holding their own country together are busy threatening neighbors. First control your own backyard before dreaming of invasions.

Ethiopia on the Brink: Abiy Ahmed’s Destabilizing Agenda Raises Regional Concerns

March 13, 2025

The crisis in Ethiopia has reached a critical juncture, with growing instability under Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s administration posing a significant threat to the Horn of Africa.

Over the past two years, Ethiopia has been engulfed in a brutal civil war, particularly against the Amhara people, with Abiy Ahmed’s regime orchestrating massacres and systematic repression.

With multiple regions slip out of federal authority and the country teeters on the brink of disintegration, concerns over Abiy Ahmed’s next move are intensifying.

UK Issues Travel Warning Amid Escalating Tensions

The United Kingdom recently issued a warning to its citizens, advising against travel to Ethiopia due to the deteriorating security situation.

This move underscores the severity of the crisis, as violence and unrest continue to engulf various parts of the country. The Ethiopian government’s inability to stabilize its internal conflicts has led to fears of further chaos, raising alarm among regional and international observers.

Abiy’s Propaganda Machine Targets Eritrea

In a bid to deflect attention from the internal collapse of his country, Abiy Ahmed and his allies have ramped up the usual anti-Eritrean rhetoric, using state-controlled media and social platforms to spread misinformation.

This relentless propaganda campaign has included falsified Eritrean diplomatic documents, fabricated claims of military aggression, and open calls for confrontation. These efforts appear to be aimed at uniting Ethiopia’s fractured populace by manufacturing an external enemy – Eritrea – under the guise of Red Sea territorial claims.

Eritrea Sets the Record Straight

Amidst these ongoing provocations, the Eritrean government has maintained a measured and restrained stance. However, Eritrea’s Information Minister today took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond to the escalating accusations, calling out “Conflict Entrepreneurs” who seek to exploit the instability for their own agendas.

In his statement, the minister reaffirmed Eritrea’s commitment to peace and regional stability, while condemning the falsehoods propagated by Ethiopian officials. Key points from Eritrea’s response include:

No Eritrean Troops in Tigray: Claims of Eritrean military presence in Ethiopia’s Tigray region are baseless and designed to provoke conflict.

Respect for the Pretoria Peace Agreement: Eritrea has no intention of undermining the Ethiopian peace process, which remains an internal matter.

No Interest in TPLF Internal Politics: Eritrea denies involvement in the internal divisions within the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).

Red Sea Tensions Must Be Condemned: Eritrea strongly opposes the provocative statements from Ethiopian political factions regarding territorial claims over the Red Sea, warning that such rhetoric only fuels unnecessary hostilities.

Regional Implications of Ethiopia’s Collapse

As Ethiopia teeters on the edge of further fragmentation, the broader Horn of Africa faces growing risks. Abiy Ahmed’s government has become a destabilizing force, and its aggressive posturing toward Eritrea threatens to inflame regional tensions.

Analysts warn that Ethiopia’s internal strife, coupled with its external provocations, could drag neighboring countries into an unwanted conflict.

With Eritrea now publicly addressing these threats, the international community must take a firmer stance against Abiy Ahmed’s dangerous maneuvers, holding him accountable for the atrocities committed and the instability he has fueled in Ethiopia and beyond.

Abiy Ahmed is directly responsible for the massacres and systematic persecution of the Amhara people, as well as the broader destabilization of the region.

His ongoing policies and military campaigns have exacerbated Ethiopia’s turmoil and pose a grave threat to the stability of the entire Horn of Africa.

Abiy Ahmed’s grand claims of a "wheat revolution" have been thoroughly debunked, exposing yet another blatant lie from Ethiopia’s Prime Minister. Abiy Ahmed Caught Lying—A National Embarrassment, a commentary sent via email to an e-mail group by Dr.
@YonasBiru57

International institutions that once praised his wheat production narrative—including the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)—are now facing embarrassment for believing a habitual liar.

Last week, a journalist from The Economist contacted me after reading my posts on wheat production. While I’m not certain if my blogs directly influenced their investigation, I expected their report to confirm what many of us already knew—Abiy’s claims were nothing more than propaganda.

Key Findings from The Economist

The Economist report dismantles Abiy Ahmed’s fabricated wheat production numbers with damning evidence from international agencies, trade data, and Ethiopia’s own suppressed statistics. Here are the key points:

1. The Ethiopian Government’s False Claims
Abiy’s office claims Ethiopia produced 15.1 million tonnes of wheat in 2022-23, with a staggering increase to 23 million tonnes in 2023-24—allegedly making Ethiopia the ninth-largest wheat producer in the world.

2. The African Development Bank (AfDB) Rejects Ethiopia’s Statistics: The AfDB does not endorse the Ethiopian government’s numbers. Using its own data and in-country analysis, the AfDB estimates Ethiopia produced only 7.5 million tonnes of wheat in 2023-24—a far cry from Abiy’s 23 million tonne claim.

3. Satellite Data and UN Reports Contradict Abiy’s Lies: The US Department of Agriculture (USDA), which uses satellite imagery for crop analysis, estimates Ethiopia produced just 5.8 million tonnes of wheat in 2022-23—compared to the 15.1 million tonnes Abiy claims.

The UN-FAO also supports the USDA’s estimate of 5.8 million tonnes, confirming that Abiy Ahmed’s numbers are wildly exaggerated.

4. Ethiopia’s Own Central Bank Confirms the Lie
Ethiopia’s Central Bank had also published wheat production estimates matching the FAO and USDA figures—5.8 million tonnes in 2022-23.

However, after inquiries from The Economist, the government removed these figures from the bank’s website.

5. Politicizing Data—The Government Purged Experts Who Refused to Lie

In 2022, before Abiy started boasting about his "wheat miracle," he removed the independent director of Ethiopia’s Statistics Agency (ESS) and replaced him with a party loyalist.

Sources told The Economist that the reshuffle was punishment for the agency’s refusal to validate the government’s inflated wheat production claims.

6. Ethiopia is Still Importing Wheat—Contrary to Abiy’s Claims: Abiy’s office claims Ethiopia "completely ceased" wheat imports four years ago.

However, trade data from the USDA shows Ethiopia imported 400,000 tonnes of wheat in the first five months of 2024 alone—a 57% increase from the same period in 2023.

Total wheat imports for 2024 were 1.4 million tonnes, while Ethiopia exported only 150,000 tonnes—proving the country remains dependent on imports.

7. Desperate Measures—Cultivating Wheat on Government Land: The government has forced an expansion of wheat production by:
✔ Displacing other crops.
✔ Ordering wheat cultivation on airport grounds, universities, and government compounds.

This desperate push for production raises serious concerns about long-term food security and soil depletion.

8. Abiy’s Reckless Policies Will Backfire

Even if we ignore the statistical manipulation, Abiy’s wheat production policies pose serious risks:
Monocropping wheat weakens soil quality, leading to lower yields over time.

Forcing farmers to meet unrealistic production targets could lead to resistance—similar to what contributed to the downfall of previous Ethiopian regimes.

Abiy’s obsession with self-promotion may ultimately lead to his own political undoing.

Abiy’s Lies Are a National Embarrassment: The revelations from The Economist expose the dangerous lengths to which Abiy Ahmed will go to fabricate success stories while the country crumbles.
📌 He lied to Ethiopians.
📌 He lied to international donors.
📌 He lied to the world.

This isn’t just about wheat—it’s about a habitual liar who is willing to deceive an entire nation for his own political survival.

PPOpians are out of control!! / they should have their own flag with Abiy in the center

They want to destroy the fabric of the country they claim they are defending, destroy the Orthodox Christians, erase the Amhara people, destroy Tigray with endless wars and conflict, create turbulence and instability with all neighbors, replace ancient heritage with prosperity doctrines and shiny new things imported from the UAE, they kill, they destroy, they war monger, and boast of acquiring weapons to kill more and more people, they create rebellion by mistreating and marginalizing people, then blame every single catastrophic failure in leadership on something else. Egypt, Somalia, US, the aliens mostly Eritrea.

🇪🇷/ I’m sorry Eri, it’s not fair! But the truth prevails so be patient. The beast will fall, neither the people of Eritrea, nor Ethiopia deserve to be dragged into more war.

Just yesterday they were kissing PIA’s behind for carrying them on his back, today he is the worst dictator known to mankind. They bully, they kill, they lie, they deceive, they sell Ethiopias lands and natural assets to the UAE to whoever is buying, they compromised sovereignty and crippled this nation into bottomless debt, they can’t control the biggest regions, they can’t feed the desperate and suffering populations or the insurgencies, they turn away when churches and mosques are decimated, they have no care for the millions suffering BUT yet, they boast of Adwa, and puff their chests up and claim Axumite heritage.

And they will use the people of Afar to stake their claim. The same people of Afar they left to be slaughtered and turned their back on. The people are always props for gain, the “unity” they claim is not for a shared goal or destiny, it’s for access and power. Use Eritrea to defeat Tigray, Use Tigray to create conflict with Eritrea, use Amhara to control the center, use Afar to access the coast… is this the version of “Unity” the 7th king promised the people? Whose children will die this time PPopians?

PPOpians are Tofu to real Ethiopians - an imitation of the real thing without a leg to stand on.

I pray the truth prevails and the people can stand together to stop these fools from creating more bloodshed. Peace for all Ethiopia, for Eritrea and for the Horn. May God protect all our families from these heathens!

Psalm 140

1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.
3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
6 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.
13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
