Abiy is incomptent on purpose. For Ethiopia's loss because he hates Ethiopia.
This would not have happened under my warch. Many avenues of recourse to protect Ethiopia's rights, he blatantly ignored them.
He is very generous to Eritrea as any grateful OLF would be.

Surprised US still shares intelligence with Shabia about Ethiopia decades after DERG's fall. The shared intelligence might have sounded like this: Azerbaijani ship carrying weapons for Ethiopia illegally entering Eritrean Red Sea waters.

Getting armed to the teeth is a deterrence leverage from aggression. Eritrea has to be armed equally with Ethiopia for peace to prevail in the region. Any sign of weakness is an invitation for invasion…
