The gurage are lost people!
They are divided except in their name, dance and meskal!
Now some are busy to defend their indefensible Oromo masters. For me when Gurage could not open a single TV channel and hooked onto OBN and when they were refused to have kilil, I said gurage is sold out to Oromo. In fact because of sodo godena and kistane who are close to Oromo, the oromuma see gurage as their special zone

So indifferent. So alien from within. I have always said you were not a Gurage.

Gurage is not lost. Neither confused about itself and neighbors.
More commonalities than differences. But these minor differences get exploited to weaken it so that it won'be able to resist assimilation and land grabs.
