It must be nice to have someone else fighting your war and all it cost you is expired food. :P

Trump abandoned and defunded WHO (he referred to as a “corrupt organization”) and the United Nations Human Rights Council.

If you give a mercenary man a sack of wheat, he wants to fight all your wars and die for you.
But if you teach the mercenary man how to grow wheat, he will feed himself peacefully. (Donald J. Trump)

There has never been a war we fought that was never in someone else's interest. We Ethiopians are forever doomed to be sacrificial lambs at the altar of geopolitical rivalry between World Super Powers and Regional Super Powers, and as luck would have it, almost all the wars we fought were at the behest of World Super Powers.

What Abiy Ahmed said in his interview is also shared by many people in Ethiopia.

For more than half a century, we have nurtured a culture of approval seeking behavior to validate our self worth by putting the destiny of our country in the hands of white people. We lack confidence in the validity of our own thinking, thus we seek approval from those whom we deem to be superior to ourselves. This kind of thinking has affected almost every person in the country. የተማረ ይግደለኝ has become ፈረንጅ ይግደለኝ። :|
