Is Abbiy trying to disintegrate Ethiopia ?

Occupying Assab even if he succeeds, it will be a never ending war. It is violation of a sovereign nation. Ethiopia itself right now is very fragile. Eritrea is far more stable albeit a government that works against national unity.
Is Abbiy trying to disintegrate Ethiopia or just to prolong his power on the saddle.

The country is already disintegrated in more meaningful ways than one. It is the fear of the unknown coming up that is holding it together. OPDO has no political currency left to lead the country, and hence needing to boost its standing by pulling the dangerous card, Assab, outta its arse. Some might indeed be fooled.
