Meles didn't lose Assab, he simply gave it away. I do appreciate many things Meles contributed towards Ethiopia's economic revival but with regard to Assab he was simply a traitor!

Reports are now emerging indicating that even former US Ambassader Herman Cohen did try to suggest a way for Ethiopia to get an unimpeded access to Assab before Meles stopped him and said "we don't want Assab". Did Meles fight for Assab and lost the fight?
