These days it is normal in Addis where Eritreans and Tigrayans are kidnapped by the Oromumma security and the Addis Ababa police, taken to a police station in Bole district. The Eritreans are forced to pay more than 20,000 Birr and the Tigrayans to pay 5,000 Birr in their own country, just to leave the station cell. This is also happening to Amharas in different parts of Oromia and Amhara kilil.
Outside of Addis, the long distance lorry or bus drivers are often kidnapped and forced to cough up 100,000 Birr.
