(This thread is to show the contribution Asmarino-Tigrayans in Eritrean vibrant city and urban culture. Asmarino - Tigrayans are Eritreans whose fathers or grandfathers arrived from Tigray during the time Asmara city was reconstituted or after the 1870s.
The early original Asmarino-Tigrayans who arrived in tens of thousands into central Hamsien, the current Asmara, were as Ras Alula's soldiers. They inhabited and urbanized the current districts of Asmara, such as, Aba Shawel and Geza Berhanu (treasurer and assistant treasurer of Alula), Edaga Arbi (home of singers: Haile Gebru and Yonous Ibrahim). The Tigrayans also inhabited and urbanized the Asmara districts of Shouq, Gejeret (home of cyclist Biniam Girmay), Bet Mek'a, Tzetzerat, Adi Segdo, Qushet, Adi Sihel, Godaif, Tselot and Geza Kenisha (home of Issaias Afeworki) ...

I admit, this one is Asmara grown Tigrayan. One of my uncles, on my father side, used to dedicate this song to every pretty girl/woman he met.

To be specific, his parents are from the village of Enda Amanuel, located five kilometers on north east side of Mendefera. The village is set on the hill. He was born in Massawa. He loved Massawa so much, he spent most of the time there. Haile Ghebru is from the environs of the Adiquala, Seraye, Eritrea. His grandmother on the mother side is Tigrayan. Tekle Tesfazgi is from Hamassien, in the environs of Asmara. Wedi Tkul is from the environs of Deqemhare. Tsehaytu and Teberh are both from southern Akele. You are making the Agames and your Galla brethren look bad. The funny thing is a lot of agames used to claim Tekle Tesfazgi who practically was from the nearby villages located in Asmara . By the way, don’t you dare to Claim Yema Oqbamichael aka Barya from Tigray. He is from Akele Guzay, Eritrea.

I never mentioned anywhere that Yemane Baria or Tekle Tesfazgi as "Asmarino-Tigrayans." Yemane Baria is originally from Adi Keih (Zoba Debub), and Tekle Tesfazgi is from the home of the Hamasien royal dynasty of Hazega, Hamasien, as is the great Bereket Mengisteab. Stop diverting the thread by throwing your dirt lies and twists. Memhir Osman Abderahim hails originally from Wuqro and Shire, Tigray.

Here is a lesson for you. Bereket Mengsteab, Beyene Fre, Embay…forgot last name, he was from Akele were the friends who gave Haile Sellasie in Addis a lot of headache more than he could’ve handled. Engineer Asgedom Woldemichael and Teberh Tesfahuney did the damage as well. The all lived in Addis during those years.


Unlike your Qomal behind, Yonus Ibrahim was a heroic Eritrean regardless of his Tigrayan parents ancestry, a few miles from Eritrean borders.
