However, the main achievement of the talks so far seems to be creating mistrust, confusion, and division among the Fano factions. When I compare the damage it is causing and the risk it is pausing, to the actual benefit, which Eskender still failed to show, I ask myself, is it really worth it? In my view, it is not worth it unless Eskender shows a convincing argument that justifies the risks, which he failed so far.
This leads me to the next question: why then is Eskender risking so much knowing very well the harm it is causing among the Fano factions? There must be something far more important issue for Eskender that we don't know about and which he is not willing or unable to explain. This of course opens wide the door for so many wild speculations and conspiracy theories. The very fact that he is ignoring the concerns of major Fano factions and supporters and risking it all confirms to me that he is not fit to be a leader. I always knew that Eskender is a terrible leader and he is confirming it yet again.
Having said that, I still believe Eskender is fighting for justice and democracy in Ethiopia but armed struggle is not his thing and he has constantly demonstrated that he is terrible when it comes to leadership. He is a true activist and advocate for democracy and human rights. That is his element, not leadership!
No one is to be blamed but Eskender for opening the door to speculations by ignoring major Fano factions.
