Just imagine if world powers never baited Emperor Haile Selassie into a trap by coercing him to bite off more than he could chew, resulting in decades long of bloody wars passed down to his successors who were equally oblivious to the fact that might does not make right, and went on to commit historical blunders that were both costly and have far-reaching consequences for the country that, thanks to their ignorance, we are stuck in a dark age.

I am very much tired of trying to enlighten characters like you who can’t tell apart oranges and apples in Ethiopia’s recent struggles.

As the saying goes, two wrongs don’t make one right.

የሃገር ሰዎች በብዛት ደሳሳ ጎጆ ዉስጥ የሚኖሩባት።

ገበሬዎች በበሬዎች እያረሱ ከዐመት ዐመት የሚለፉባት።

እናቶች መጂ ላይ እህል እየፈጩ፣ ዉሃ በእንስራ ከወንዝ የምያመጡባት፣ ማገዶ በጀርባ የሚሸከሙባት፣ ኩበት የሚጠፈጥፉባት፣ ወዘተ።

የሃገር ሰዎች በብዛት ባዶ እግሮቻቸዉን የሚጓዙባት።

ጓዝ ወይ በጀርባ ወይ በጋማ ከብት የሚጓዝበት።

እኔ የተዋወኳት ኢትዮጵያ የኤምፐረር ሃገር የምትባል ነበረች ወይስ ኣንተ ታዉቃት የነበረችዉ ኢትዮጵያ ሌላ ሃገር ነበረች?

Have mercy for your own brain before you open your mouth to say things like Dark Age and Emperor.

During the Emperor and the Derg era alone we lost over a million soldiers trying to enforce and maintain the policies of US secretary of state John Foster Dulles, but 70 years later we have nothing to show for it - we are still in a dark age, surviving on food hand outs, ranked lowest in the world in all development indicators, etc. The TPLF's attempt to reinstate the same policy had also cost us countless lives and sent us back to the stone age.

We would have been better off if we listened to the Soviet Generals' warnings and come up with an amicable solution to the conflict. But like Ambassador Dina Mufti said, as a life-long client state, we are no allowed to think for ourselves. That's just so sad!
