The Debretsion faction’s new “peaceful struggle” is unveiled at a time when three opposition parties operating in the region are accusing it of recruiting and arming youth—apparently a preparation for another round of war. The parties made the claim after assessing the situation in four zones of the Tigray region, according to the VOA Amharic report.

"The first round of the disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration program —another Pretoria Agreement Provision — in the region is reportedly completed. The region claims that 75,000 combatants are disarmed and reintegrated into society—a program on which hundreds of millions of dollars were spent. TPLF channeled the said money to recruit additional fighters?
