MOGADISHU, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was heading to Ankara, Turkey, to attend the third round of talks aimed at defusing tensions with Ethiopia, the state news agency reported on Tuesday, in a row that threatens to destabilise the region.

There's nothing wrong to meet with the one you've got issues with. This is called diplomacy, which is primarily the practice of communication and negotiation between countries to resolve disputes, among others.
Do you think the US and Iran, Russia and Ukraine, or even the US and those it has designated itself as terrorist groups are not in communications! Of course, they're using secret backchannels.

Make no mistake, it's clown Abiy who has begged Turkey to facilitate this third round of the talks, as Somalia has refused to include Ethiopia in the upcoming peace keeping mission in Somalia, scheduled to start January 2025. And Abiy is sh'itting his pants, as all funds for his troops and all perks in their name will stop end December 2024, even if these troops continue to hang around in Somalia.
Bear in mind, the presence of Ethiopian troops in Somalia is all about money and nothing else, and once this is cut off, their presence will not be sustainable for long; hence, clown Abiy's cry to Erdogan, as the countdown is ticking.

You just have to for many reasons.
1. It defeated Siad Barre and declared independence in 1991. And maintained its independence.
2. A#1 democratic country with free media in Africa.
3. A indepedent country wuth its own army that can defeat Somalia in a matter of days with the ability to annex other parts of Somalia if it wants to.
4. A free country with its currency and passport
5. An independent country that has already leased port facilities to the DP World of Abu Dhabi.
6. The port Clown Abiy wants to build is in the sovereign teritory of Somaliland.

Hassen Sheikh may be an extortionist. He would allow Ethiopia to build a port on Berbera if Ethiopia would pay lease fees directly to Somalia, not Somaliland. If Clown Abiy's attitude is 'a port by any means necessary', Somaliland would end all relationships with Ethiopia. Ethiopia will be a grand loser.
