Who is Current Enemy of the Oromo: Biltsigina or Fanno or Both?
Dr. Abiy recently accused OLA leaders, that they can’t discuss with the “brotherly” Biltsiginna, but dare to talk to Oromo’s foe, i.e Fanno. This allegation from Abiy raised a legitimate question: who is the current enemy of the Oromo? It seems that Oromo nationalists are divided in to two camps based on whom they consider as the main enemy of the Oromo. Those, who believe that Biltsigina is the currently existing main enemy, are not vehemently against Fanno movement. Those, who consider Fanno as the main strategical enemy of the Oromo, tend to support Biltsiginna as long as the war between Fanno and Biltsigina continues. I think Fanno’s foolish rhetoric of being against Onegawinet, “Oromo migiration” and Oromumma contributed to this support of some Oromo nationalists. If Fanno can correct this mistake, there is no reason for any Oromo to support the dictatorial Salisawi Derg (the Biltsiginna).
