More specifically on Ethiopia's wheat production?

In my view Ethiopia should take the matter very seriously, at the end of the day, it is not only the harvest that is going to make the difference, but also many more other circumstances, like timing and market access.

This why Ukrainians have developed this database for strategic business intelligence use case in the business of wheat production and bringing it to market.

Ethiopians may think the world is a very nice place, which it is not!
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said this season’s wheat harvesting period has begun, and he stressed the need for expediting this process nationwide through collaboration.

“This period has begun, and we must expedite this process nationwide through collaboration, as we have a bountiful harvest this year. Additionally, we should prepare for the upcoming summer wheat cultivation,” the Premier shared on social media channels.

For almost 30 years of expertise in the agri markets, UkrAgroConsult has accumulated an extensive database, which became the basis of the platform AgriSupp.

It is a multi-functional online platform with market intelligence for grains and oilseeds that enables to get access to daily operational information on the Black Sea & Danube markets, analytical reports, historical data.

DTT,
Mind your language, this is not called "spying". It is a norm in any business enterprise or sector, and called: Predictive analytics, the process of using data to forecast future outcomes. The process uses data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical models to find patterns that might predict future behavior.
Ethiopia has not yet reached in the class of being "spied" in wheat production.

Mesob,

I am not sure how the end-goal could be any different. I think, without referring to any source, spying is the art of collecting, storing, analyzing and using data to support decision making. Do you doubt?

In that case what you have said here is not much or any different to what I said.

If you thought it could be about just military purpose, then you have a wrong impression, I think.

This is a sophisticated (modern) database for collecting, storing, analyzing and using it to facilitate decision making (optimizing decision making), the article says.

Do you think this could also mean use the data to suppress the profit of the "competitor"?

By now Ethiopia is Africa's largest wheat producer, it could also step into the largest Exporter on the continent very soon.
