Poor. Very poor naming culture of historic proportions for important civil structures began with the EPRDF as a propganda tool to dominate the public consciousness with its agenda. The namings are meant to politicise the structures and events. In imposing politics on the structures and events, they lost the simplicity that could easily identify them.
For example:
1.All the three Gilgel dams on the Omo River should have been named Omo River Dams I, II, III.
2. The Great Renaisance Dam built on the Abvay River or Blue Nile River could simply be named Abbay River or Blue Nile Dam.
Imposing politics on cultural events and civil structures is an indication of cover up of disloyalry to the people by a dictatorship. It's a cheat-sheet aggrandiase itself as if it's doi g its best for the peiple it cheats of dignity, fairness and justice.
