Egyptian military personnel conduct training drills ahead of their deployment to Somalia
Egypt is preparing to send troops to Somalia as part of the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), set to replace the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) in early 2025.
Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki received a detailed briefing on the readiness of Egyptian forces. A military spokesperson said the session covered training programs, logistical preparation, and equipment upgrades designed to support the mission’s objectives.
- Our forces are ready to contribute to Somalia’s stability through the AUSSOM mission,” said Major General Abdirahman Abdullahi, Egypt’s Chief of Staff. “This deployment reflects our commitment to regional security and cooperation under the African Union’s framework.”
The troops, who recently completed advanced training, represent Egypt’s deepening engagement in African peacekeeping. Under a landmark defence agreement signed in August, Egypt has committed to deploying thousands troops to Somalia!!
The illiterate Galla fggt, Abiy Ahmed has created thousands of jobs in Somalia for Egyptians.

Anyone who expects a clown to accomplish anything needs to think twice.
When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn't become a king. The palace instead becomes a circus.

Somalia's government confirmed thursday that the AUSSOM troop deployment plan was not part of the Türkiye-mediated talks.
Speaking during a Twitter space session, Somalia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, emphasized that the federal government retains full authority over selecting countries contributing to the African Union Somalia Mission (AUSSOM), which will replace the ATMIS mission in January 2025, which means poverty-stricken war-torn landlocked Ethiopia will pull all its mercenary troops out of Somalia within the next two weeks as mandated by the United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolution 2710.
According to the United Nations website, the AU peacekeeping soldiers are paid by their own Governments according to their own national rank and salary scale which are reimbursed by the security councils of the United Nations at a standard rate, approved by the General Assembly, of more than US$1,500 per soldier per month, the United Nations also provides a life support package that includes fuel, food, health services and equipment.
It is the end of free-loading.
