Fruits of freedom : Eritrea’s case
Thirty-two years ago, the country gained its independence from Ethiopia. However, since then, it has been governed by a single dictator who has maintained iron-fisted control. Thousands of torture camps exist in the Sahel desert. A significant portion of the country’s youth emigrates to various Arab countries, where many of them become victims of human trafficking and exploitation, serving as slaves and human organ harvesting machines. A substantial portion of the population remains in Ethiopia. If this is true independence, then I am content with my current situation. I welcome your opinions on this matter.

For 3,000 years, people have suffered from hunger, starvation, and backwardness, continuing to this day. The term 'Starvin Marvins' was infamously coined by an American observer based on their existing situation.

Ascari Girl, I acknowledge as an Ethiopian our shared commitment to national pride, but it is our pursuit of progress, freedom, and independence that has been our enduring legacy. Unlike you, we have maintained our sovereignty for countless years. Despite your separation from Ethiopia, your people continue to visit our country in large numbers, and your presence has undoubtedly littered our capital city. However, I pose a question: what tangible benefits did your village derive from independence?Fed_Up wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 11:45The sad but true history of ethiopiaethiopian wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 10:57Thirty-two years ago, the country gained its independence from Ethiopia.
