10% stake in Ethio Telecom will be sold to Ethiopian citizens for 300 Birr ($2.48 USD) a share, while the remainder 90% will be sold to foreign companies. IMF's privatization program for Ethiopia is forcing the sale of State-owned companies to repay the country's debt. Similarly, the UAE that provided $1 Billion loan to Ethiopia 5 years ago, is expected to buy the Ethiopian Airlines to offset the outstanding debt.

Instead of talking about Ethio Telecom, why not focus on improving EriTel's internet and telephone services for the people of Eritrea?
