Strangers of Eritrea

Tigrinya speakers in Eritrea are seen as foreigners, immigrants to Eritrea. The imposition of their language and culture on the larger Eritrea rather worsened the Eritreans sentiments against them. There are among them, not a negligible number, fanatic Orthodox Christians, which has made the larger native Eritrean population uncomfortable with their company.
Majority of the Eritrean refugees that Ethiopia receives are from this misfit group. We have about 250,000 in 3 different camps.
