What compels Eritreans to maintain such a profound obsession on Ethiopia?

Rather than rolling up their sleeves, working hard, and proving to the world that Eritrea is the "ultimate paradise" in Africa, they seem to be stuck in a never-ending cycle of Ethiopia conversation all day, every day including their president. Supposedly, this guy is one of Tog Wajale's offspring.
