There are three variants of the word that I myself used depending on the particular situation, I am not sure if all of them stem from the same root.

ኖር፣ በአማርኛ፣ for something kind of a reception to someone; ተከበር፣ መልሱ መሰለኝ፣

ደግነቱ ሰሜኖች ብዙ ጊዜ ኖር አይሉም፣ ሰዉ ስገባ ቁጭ ብሎ ነዉ የምያዩት፣ አንዴ ደንቆኝ ነበር። በተላይ ኤርትሪያኖች ና ትግሬዎች።

ኖራ፣ በአፋን ኦሮሞ፣ something like come in, welcome (in the same sense of ኖር in Amharic)፣ ኩማ ሆራ is the response of the guest (visitor)

ኖሩ፣ በአፋን ኦሮሞ ለታልቅ ሰዉ፣ ለወንድም ለሴትም፣ ንበሩ፣ ጉዳዹ is the response as a respect to a senior citizen. You don't have to know the person to extend your ኖሩ to him/her.

በነገራችን ላይ፣ ኦሮሞ የማያዉቀዉን ሰዉ በአንዴ ተነስቶ አንተ ወይም አንቺ ብሎ አይዘረጥጥም፣ እርሶ ነዉ የምለዉ፣ አሪጊት ወይም ሽማግሌ ሆኖ ለልጅ እርሶ (ኢስን) ይላል። በአማሪኛ ግን ሰዉን ገና ሳያዉቀዉ አንተ አንቺ ማለት ይቀለዋል። ኦሮሞ ከተቀራረበ ብቻ ነዉ ሰዉን አንተ ወይም አንቺ (ሲ) የምለዉ፣ በዛሬዉ እለት እሱም እየተቀየረ ነዉ፤ ሁሉን ነገር ከአማርኛ በቀጥታ ወደ አፋን ኦሮሞ የመተርጎም አባዜ ገና በአፍላዉ ስለሆነ።
