Abiy Ahmed's attempts to unify Ethiopia have balkanized Ethiopia; why?
1. He leads a hate politics, hate for classic abissinyans and minorities. He never ment to unify Ethiopia.
2. Ethnic Federalism: Ethiopia's federal system is based on ethnic lines, which has fueled divisions and tensions among various groups. Abiy's reforms alienated other ethnic groups, leading to increased fragmentation.
3. He uses one ethnic group as his political base, with a bogus mantra of Oromo majority and opressed Oromo favoring Oromo extremists to up keep his power
4. Political Opposition: Many political factions opposed his leadership and reforms, fearing a loss of power or autonomy. This resistance complicated efforts to foster unity.
5. Conflict in Amhara and Tigray: The conflicts in the regions destabilized the country, diverting attention and resources away from unification efforts and exacerbating ethnic tensions.
6. Economic Challenges: Ethiopia has faced economic difficulties, including inflation and unemployment, which have fueled discontent and hindered the government's ability to unify diverse interests.
7. Human Rights Issues: human rights abuses here and there now and then and during conflicts have damaged Abiy's credibility and further polarized the population.
Abiy Ahmad and his Oromo thugs are now criminals that should face justice.
