1. Increased Legitimacy: Recognition from Ethiopia could enhance Somaliland's legitimacy on the international stage and encourage other countries to follow suit.
3. Economic Benefits: Improved relations with Ethiopia might lead to economic opportunities, such as trade agreements and investment, boosting Somaliland's economy.
I don’t believe Eri will make any viable partner of any kind with Ethiopia, specially when Shabea is in power.
Djibouti is a prostitute

Somaliland came into the picture during Hailemariam's time; came to light in lieu of the central bank's hard currency crunch where it had to repeatedly request Djibouti for further aging of payables. Hailemariam orders the bank's huge R&D department for alternatives and they came up with the Somaliland as an option.
The bank will design lease and fee related currency denomination regimes where it inadvertently will be dealing with the central bank of Hargessa and its local denomination.
Political recognition is meaningless in so many ways but noise for the heads of state. Somaliland has to do its own homework. The bank and currency will be recognized as a consequence and that is about it.
