1. Clan Rivalries:

2. Civil War:

3. Lack of weak Central Authority due to malfunctioning federal system.

4. Foreign Interventions, the US and the UK, to start with.

5. Economic Challenges:

6. Terrorism and Insurgency:

7. Regional Influences Kenya and Ethiopia meddling in Somalia's internal affairs and politics.

8. Federalism, as it's not suitable for countries like Somalia. In reality, what we've in Somalia is not even a federal system.

9. Political corruption and lack of accountability and transparency.

There is no hope Somalia to be a unified country. We speak only the truth and the truth.
They tried for 30 years, nothing new expected to happen

Little Gurage scumbag,

Like every country in the world, Somalia has its own issues, and due to these it doesn't mean Somalia is not a unified country. make no mistake, your fuc'king shithole is more fragmented than Somalia. Although there are some frictions occasionally between the federal government and one or two federal states in Somalia, all federal states are still completely dependent on Mogadishu, including Puntland that far'ted loud for a while, until it has finally come back to its senses, as it's now begging to negotiate with Mogadishu.

You're either a kid or a semi-illiterate, and thus are not worth anyone's serious response. And this is my last serious response ever to you.

Odie,

I would add this as #1 choice: Somalia has never been a country or has no history of being a country. A simple conglomeration of land masses or territories does not make a country. It is merely is a random assembly of lands out of the good will of Western colonizers. This phenomenon is also very well discerned in the so-called Italy created "Eritrea". If analyzed the rationale why Italy stationed at Eritrea, the very reason and belief was to occupy Ethiopia while their gut well knew Eritrea cannot be a standalone country. Even in their colonization of Eritrea, Eritrea breath and eats what Ethiopia had. There were no realistic boundary and restrictive visa, Eritrea flock to Ethiopia work as seasonal workers or live and create wealth. Eritrea in real term was part of Ethiopia and Italy's rule over Eritrea was nominal. Now, when restrictive visa and border rule enforced Eritrea collapsed. It is much like that.

In the case of Somalia, in the oldest time it was an integral part of Ethiopia. Other than that Somalia has no history of kingdom ship or central administration. One thing that should also be factored in ( although for political correctness many people do not talk about is) nomadic/pastoralists groups lack system or culture of central government. They do not have culture of collecting tax or appoint leader. They do not even know where their territory starts and ends. They wander following season and trespasses to others or sedentary population settlements. That is why we have this issue of "Kegnna" It much like the Serengeti where wildlife in Kenya and Uganda follow where the green pasture is looking at the sky and the cloud. This applies the lowlander camel tender Jeberti of Eritrea.

All Somalia’s problem is the cause of the cancerous Ethiopia’s making for the interests of its masters.
But that will end soon that Somalia is raising its head, getting more help from Eritrea and Egypt. Once the rats 🐀 Ethiopians leave Somalia’s territories all will be fine with Somalia.
By the way Somalia should also incorporate the stolen Ogaden region.
These mother fu’ckers 120 million Ethiopian rats 🐀 keep on talking sh’it about Eritrea 🇪🇷 and Somalia knowing that it is the cause of this cancerous country.
If we Eritrea 🇪🇷 and Somalia 🇸🇴 had peace like the foreign puppet nation Ethiopia which get baby sat by its masters, these a’ss holes won’t even have anything bad to say about these great countries.
