Egypt will assume the presidency of the African Peace and Security Council on Oct. 1.

The Egyptian presidency program will include holding annual consultations between the African Peace and Security Council and the UN Security Council, the African Trio in the Security Council, and the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission.

Egypt will organize many events, starting with the Council’s visit to Cairo to hold an interactive meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs on peace and security issues in the continent, consultations with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and a session of the Council at the level of permanent delegates on the link between peace, security and development, and reconstruction in the aftermath of conflicts.

The Council will also visit the Egyptian Center for Peacekeeping Training affiliated to the Ministry of Interior.

It also will visit Port Sudan, the first of its kind since the outbreak of the Sudanese crisis on April 15, 2023, as part of Egypt's keenness to enhance solidarity with the Sudanese people and support Sudanese state institutions, and prepare the Council and the African Union to review the situation on the ground, assuming its responsibilities in advancing efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis.

The Egyptian presidency program will include holding annual consultations between the African Peace and Security Council and the UN Security Council, the African Trio in the Security Council, and the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission.

Is their minister any better than the man here, who can't even read a pre-written text well?

It is understandable the man comes from a place where time stands still or even rolls back.

Zombie Galla,

You don't speak better English yourself either, leave alone a more refined one! Otherwise, you wouldn't say, "who can't even read a pre-written text well? "!

For your information, there's no such thing as a "pre-written text", in the first place, but a pre-written text message.

However, he's not reading a pre-written text message. He's rather reading from a speech transcript.
It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
I know you hate me as you've said it yourself, and I reckon this is entirely your fault. If you shut your fuc'king idiot mouth, I won't be making you an object of ridicule.

It is good to know Egyptians are Africans. I have this feeling that they are Arabs who love to be counted as the same with their “kinds” in the Middle East. Maybe I am wrong.

Nah, they're Chinese.

FYI, African is not an ethnicity.
