Somaliland can follow the history of North Cyprus, Taiwan, Saharawi Arab Republic, South Ossetia, Transnistiria, Palestine ... if recognized by Ethiopia.

The rumor is that there are 13 countries ready to recognize SLR following Ethiopia. Signing of the MOU is inevitable by the logic of Egypt's intervention. Ethiopia needs to remove Egypt out of Somalia. There is no other way around it.

FYI, Somaliland has been having similar status to those you've listed for the past decades, yet it hasn't gone anywhere, and Ethiopia's recognition would have ZERO impact or contribution to the status of this break away region.

How ? Only one group can fight against them and that's alshabaab. Ethiopia has 3 different choices vacate southern Somalia for good, support alshabaab against Egypt , or directly fight Egypt inside Somalia. No matter which option you pick it's more likely alshabaab will take over all southern Somalia regions after ATMIS. The probability is very high.

Ethiopia Must Do Two Things at the Same Time:
1) Recognize Somaliland
2) Revoke Eritrea of its so-called "independence" - Unrecognize Eritrea.
I am waiting so Ecstatically Two Hear These Twin Pleasant News. No people or society should be taken a hostage to hypocrisy. Somaliland has proven to the entire world it is a success story and model what an independent state mean. All those miscarriage of the West and Arab countries such as like Eritrea, they should be unrecognized or rescind their fake independence and give people the chance to live in peace.
