If I am not mistaken the ethnic group is in Tigray and Wollo. But they are Ethiopians too.

Majority of Agew remnant are in Gojjam & Wello and some of them are in Gondar, Tigray and Eritrea. As one of the original settlers of the Horn of Africa, they are mixed with or part of any ethnic groups in Ethiopia.
