Most Oromos like to marry Gurage girls. Only for that reason they would not destroy Gurage.
The busines services Gurage young men provide to Oromos up to the most remote places such as in Moyale on borders of Ethiopia with Kenya and Somalia.
Under very difficult situations such mosquitos, bridgeless rivers, rain and hot weather, unpaved roads. Difficult jobs very few are willing to do.
Most Oromos are land people, not mobile. Gurage traders bring them all the goods they need from far towns and cities of Ethiopia.
