Don't be stupid! Egypt will not hit the dam, because that would mean suicide by flooding! Consider the following facts: The dam holds, when full, about 75 billion cubic meters. Assume the length of the river to the Mediterean to be about 1500 kms (it is less but just assume this figure), Let its width and depth be 1,000-meters and 30 meters. Thus, the total volume of the river is 1,500,000 x 1,000 x 30 = 45 billion cubic meters. If you release 75 billion on it, the water will rise to 50 meters creating huge lakes and destroying everything in its path. Khartoum and Cairo will disappear. Get it! At the moment, Egypt doesn't have to do anything. Ethiopia, unless a miracle happens soon, will disintegrate into warring chunks. It will take decades for things to settle down, Abiy is doing it for Egypt!
