A Message to the Ethiopian People from the Somali People

As Somali people, we want to make it clear to the Ethiopian people that we do not seek war. Our nation has endured enough conflict, and our primary focus now is to achieve peace and stability and eliminate the threat posed by the Al-Shabaab terrorist group. That is where our attention lies.
However, your leader, Abiy Ahmed, has been involved in Somalia's internal political affairs, all while expressing concerns about Ethiopian sovereignty. This seems contradictory, especially since he has been engaging with a secessionist group in northern Somalia with claims seeking sea access.
We understand that Ethiopia is wary of Eritrea, a country with a population of about five million. However, the Somali people number over 50 million, including Somalis living in Ethiopia and Kenya. We are one people, unified in our commitment to defend the borders of the Somali Federal Republic. We will not allow our sovereignty to be compromised or our land to be divided.
Therefore, we urge the Ethiopian people to reconsider their leadership. Removing this leader, whose actions threaten the region's harmony, is in the best interest of peace and stability in the Horn of Africa. Together, we can ensure a future of mutual respect and coexistence.
