May Osman rest in peace. Osman Abderihim was one of the great singers and song writers of the modern Tigrinya music. He was born and grew up in Asmara from merchant parents, who proudly hail from Shire, Tigray. His contribution to modern Tigrinya music is legendary. He started singing when he was very young, about 15 years of age, and later he joined the Hager Fiqir Theatre in Addis Ababa, along with Bereket Mengisteab, Abubeker Abushek and many others.

The Eritrean Jeberti hate Agames more than I do. They fled Chigray after the mad Agame yohannes massacred 30,000 and vowed to finish them off if they did not convert to Agame Tewahdo. Those who survived cannot build a mosque in Axum. Osman Abdelrehim was Asmarino par excellence. So Agame, dont insult his memory by associating him with the Chigar people. The GereAnanya Agames in Asmara were listros, coolies and prostututès. You can have them.

I knew legend Osman personally, I did have always contact with him.
Who was Osman?
Osman originally hailed from Eritrea's seraye region. I detest the idiots and bigots who brand eri jebertis as tigriyans whether out of idiocy or bigotry.
I have already booked and flying to Stockholm, Sweden tomorrow to attend the burial ceremony of our legend.
Eritrea lost one of its great artists.

Osman was born in Massawa, Eritrea. However, his parents hail from Mendefera, Seraye. The village is located about 5 kilometers to the south east of Mendefera. It is located.on the hill. The village’s name is Enda Amanuel. BTW, Osman, Haile Ghebru and Bereket Mengisteab were friends to my family.
